Westchester Weekend Updates

Thanksgiving is only 3 weeks away, but we’re being gifted a spring-like weekend with temps approaching 70 degrees. So “flip” off your computers, “stack” your sweaters back in the closet and “whip” up some special outdoor memories this weekend. As always, call ahead or check for updated website information before making any plans.

Friday, November 6

UP Lounge & Restaurant – Plan an evening of dinner and great music with NYC-based solo artist Evie Joy (and her ukuelele named “Ed”!) from 9pm through midnight.

Saturday, November 7

Saint George Restaurant – Reserve space for an “Indian Summer Outdoor Brunch at this beautiful location.

Down To Earth Living – Visit the “Christmas Open House” special for the unveiling of specials through November 8 and  while the kids receive goody bags.

Sunday, November 8

Muscoot Farm – Visit this locally acclaimed Farmers Market from 9:30am to 2:30pm and enjoy the hiking trails.

Fable: Farm to Table – Pass by and pick up super-fresh produce. Along with other local farms, Fable is participating in the first annual “Fall Farm Weekend”, but be sure to call them for information on special activities and treats.

Sunday is National Cappuccino Day! How better to mark the occasion than to support local coffee shops, many of which overflow with ambience. One of our favorites? Muddy Water, right on Main St. Don’t spill while strolling through gorgeous Tarrytown!

Visit A Fun Westchester Farm This Summer!

Westchester residents like to think their county is almost an extension of Manhattan and the Bronx. But what makes our County so special is that wherever you go, chances are there is a gorgeous, bountiful farm less than 15 minutes away by car! I’ve listed below some that are open to the public, but you have to phone ahead, because certain restriction on activities are in place this summer. You may be able to pick your own fruit and find some delicious freshly prepared foods to buy at almost every farm you visit and, some even have socially distanced dine-in options this summer!

1. Wilkens Fruit and Fir Farm

2. Stuart’s Farm

3. Harvest Moon Farm and Orchard

4. Hemlock Farm

5. Hilltop Hanover Farm & Environmental Center
