Drive-In Movies

Westchester Weekend Updates

Don’t let the weather get you down! For those not wanting to conquer the great outdoors anymore due to chilly temps, there are still outdoor activities – compliant with social distancing rules – that you can partake in which include some form of shelter. Just be sure that now, more than ever, you check websites and call to confirm Covid-19 protocols and timings. (And make those bookings as early as possible so you’re not disappointed!).

Friday, October 30

Pop-Up Kitchen Night  Head over to Highland Mills to Finnegan’s Pub and order takeout or stay a while and dine in.

Saturday, October 31

Thyme: ‘Dinner & a Movie Night’ – Be sure to call and book an evening of ‘Dinner and a Movie’ meets the ‘Drive-In Theater’

Friends of Lasdon Park & Arboretum “Autumn Changes: Change can be good!” – Get tickets online to view this family fall exhibit and train show.

Sunday, November 1

Empire State Trail – If you don’t mind the chill in the air, why not explore a little bit of the 750 miles of trails?

Warwick Drive-In – The nostalgia of Drive-In Theaters is not going away. Plan a drive up to Warwick and followed by a movie.

In Mt. Kisco, the use of the word “social” not only reminds one to comply with social distancing protocols, but it immediately elicits warm words of praise for one of the town’s most popular gathering places: Village Social. Launched in 2010 as a “New American-Gastropub”, this landmark has courageously moved through the challenging Pandemic Era with popular outdoor/indoor dining, as well as delivery and curb-side pickup options. Keep your distance when dining folks, but stay Social!

Westchester Weekend Updates

Labor day weekend is now upon us! One of the advantages of living in Westchester is that we also have easy access to neighboring counties and NYC, so with an extra day of rest, I thought I would include a couple of options that are further afield. While each week I make every effort to ensure that the information is accurate, it’s always worth checking the websites carefully and calling ahead to ensure that you are familiar with the most current COVID-19 protocols and possible changes in schedules. Have a fun, safe weekend no matter how you choose to spend it.

At Eatalia, they don’t just serve up great food (in enormous portions I might add) but Sammy the owner is just a gem of a person and hopefully when you try this place out, you get to meet him.
